This is where I tell you a little about myself -- here goes:

I have been married to the same man for a mighty long time ....
We spent 25 years in the Southern California area...San Fernando Valley.
In 1988, we retired, headed back East in our Motor home,
with intentions to travel and see this wonderful land of ours,
after setting up residence in Indiana.

However, on our way to Indy, we stopped off in Kentucky,
where we found a great house in the country with 12 acres of land
(definitely cheaper than property in California).
most of the land was trees, but about 3 acres was cleared and
needed mowing regularly .
We lived near the beautiful Green River Lake.  Totally enjoyed  the surroundings.

We were asked by the District Office to assume pastorate of the
church in that town, which we accepted and pastored for 5 years.
During this time we were blessed to be able to build a new sanctuary .
We were in the final phase of the building project when my hubby suffered a heart attack.
After a couple of days in the local hospital there, he was transferred to a
hospital in Louisville.
It was at that time when I decided we needed to live closer to better medical facilities.
He recovered rather rapidly and miraculously, and to this day,
has had no problems with his heart.
We stayed on at the church for about eight more months,
Upon our resignation as pastors, we headed for Indy where my sis was living.

We had houses built on lots next to each other, similar floor plans,
and similar upgrades since that time.
We so very much enjoy being "laid-back"  - not being on a schedule,
definitely not having to punch a "time-clock",
or having to show up for work or other necessities
of living when you are in the "work-force".

This surely beats "laid-under" or beats pushing up daisies..
better to be over the hill, than under the hill!
What I am trying to say -- IT'S GOOD TO BE ALIVE!
We are so blest - we have our health which is more than wealth -
God has been and still is so good to us.

We have one son and a lovely daughter-in-law,

along with two grand girls!
They are the loves of our life !

Firstly:

     Secondly:

I love music......real music.....! I have played keyboard and organ for  many years. . .
For needed relaxation, this will do it every time
.

Thirdly:

I am a lover of fur babies!

Our Newest addition:
A Bichon Frise puppy
"Sir Barney Bleu"
came to  live with us on 4-18-09 at age 12 weeks .

2nd grooming - 5 months old

and

Now we have Sir Barney and Ms. Star Bea

Star is a 2 year old Min Schnauzer, who
became "Queen" of the house on 12-31-07,

after the very sad loss of Ms Brie who
had renal failure.

Prior to Brie coming to live with us, Pepper, a Shiz-a-poo, was King
of the Hill!   We got him at a pound, and he really gave us more
than a pound of pleasure.

Pepper - 2003

Uhhhh....He was such a smart doggie...for instance:
If I asked him what was on the top of the house?
he said "roof, roof";
Then when I asked him what's that on the tree?
he answered "bark, bark".

Oh  yes...he could read too!
I took him to the park, and a bench had a sign
which read "wet paint"....and he did!  *smile*
