Autumn is Stirring Again
Autumn is stirring and we all feel the breeze.
We see wondrous, reds, orange, and yellow, on the trees.
Some are falling now; it makes my heart cheer.
We look forward to the beauty, every single year.
The geese will start their journey; to the south, they will go.
They will stop to eat farmer’s rice, before it starts to snow.
We will see the beauty of their V formation, on up high.
I have seen flying geese gather, while flying by.
One can hear them at the night, a constant quack in the air.
Sometimes scares the chickens, but I think they do not care.
Their noise helps me to sleep. It is something God put here.
Therefore, I love the quacking and I love my heart’s cheer.
Geese love going to the coastal shores. There are fish to eat.
They gorge themselves; some may have corn or wheat
They swim in the ocean off the coast and catch many fish.
People have homes there and I think they do not like this
I am happy the autumn is coming on in. It is welcome here.
Every year I think it is not coming and away goes my cheer!
I look back on yesteryear, when I was just a little teen.
Dad told me (I hear them) and out I would go to the swing.
